What's happening in the studio...
We know that summer time in Chicago is a precious commodity (especially days without heat, humidity, and now forest fire smoke), but we hope you can take advantage of the longer days by coming out and joining us at one of our upcoming events.
TRASHY SUMMER MARKET

Join us this Sunday, July 26, 10 - 4 pm at Hairpin Art Center (map) at 2810 N Milwaukee Ave, 2nd floor, for an engaging day of making! We will have a loom on-site as we weave a rag rug from reclaimed materials, along with a few of our frame looms and DIY kits for purchase.
CHICAGO YARN CRAWL!

Come out to Evanston Stitchworks during Chicago's Yarn Crawl and discover the various fibers available for spinning by hand. Various fibers, including silk, cotton, flax, and wool, will be available for investigative study. Participants will be able to spin a sample of wool and discover the magic of spinning yarn by hand.
Saturday, Aug. 1
11 AM to 12:30 PM
Evanston Stitchworks
MICHIGAN FIBER FESTIVAL

If you are looking for a road trip this summer, come out and see us at the Michigan Fiber Festival! We will be revealing some of our new products for the season, including several DIY natural dye kits and the very addictive loop looms commonly associated with potholders from your childhood days. Only a 2.5-hour drive from metro-Chicago, the Michigan Fiber Festival is a great opportunity to see not only fiber of all kinds, but animals too.
Friday-Sunday, August 14-16 Allegan County Fairgrounds, MI
