ITO Tetsu combines silk with metal. A stainless steel filament that is twisted with mulberry silk gives the knitted fabric a “memory”: it can be pulled into shape. This absolutely extraordinary yarn invites you to experiment and adds a bit of structure in a knitted or woven fabric. Ideally combined with another thread as a base for knitting or weaving, but can be woven/knitted individually too! Strong enough for a warp, woven at 32-40 EPI as it is a fine yarn.
